Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Reaffirms its Commitment to Health and Safety, Announces the Opt-In of its Three Brands to CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships Operating in U.S. Waters

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NCLH) (together with NCL Corporation Ltd., “Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings”, “Norwegian” or the “Company”) today announced that the Company’s three brands – Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises – have opted into the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (“CDC”) COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships Operating in U.S. Waters (the “Program”)the agency’s voluntary COVID-19 risk mitigation program for foreign-flagged cruise ships operating in U.S. waters. The Program comes into effect after the expiration of the Temporary Extension and Modification of Framework for Conditional Sailing Order on January 15, 2022.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Completes Multi-Year Investment in Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems to Improve Environmental Performance

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: NCLH) (the ”Company”), a leading global cruise company which operates Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, today announced the successful completion of its nearly $200 million, multi-year investment in exhaust gas cleaning systems (“EGCS”) on certain ships across its fleet with the successful commissioning of EGCS onboard Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway. The new systems are aimed at improving the ships’ environmental footprint by significantly reducing emissions, including sulfur oxides and particulate matter, and improving air quality. Investments in technology such as EGCS are an integral part of the Company’s long-term climate action strategy and the Company is committed to continually exploring additional avenues to further reduce its footprint and protect and preserve the environment.

Norwegian Cruise Line Introduces Norwegian Viva 

Providing guests with elevated experiences including more wide-open spaces, thoughtful and stunning design and exceptional service, Norwegian Viva will begin sailing remarkable Mediterranean itineraries in June 2023, homeporting in key Southern European port cities including Lisbon, Portugal; Venice (Trieste) and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy; and Athens (Piraeus), Greece. She will then sail the Southern Caribbean for her 2023-2024 Winter Season offering warm-weather getaways from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
